hey guys what are the top 5-6 uni's in Victoria

ie
1)
2)
3)
4)
etc thnks

and also when we apply for jobs would da people who are interviewing us look more closly at our scores in uni or what uni we went to??

ie if there were 5 people in da interview room and of these one goes to UOM another monash RMIT latrobe and vic uni which would have an advantage over da other ppl

ohh and also as da competition to get credit in UoM is harder compared to RMIT would dis have an effect on our chances to getting more of a chance of getting into a certain job??
ie to get a P(pass) in UOM i think is lyke 65% and if u get 65% in RMIT u would get a credit

thnks all for ur help

If you want rankings, the based on The Times Higher Education Rankings this year (2009):

In the top 200 of the world:
1.  University of Melbourne (The)
2.  Monash University

Between 201-300
3.  RMIT
4.  LaTrobe

Between 301-400
5.  Deakin

Between 401-500
6.  Swinburne University of Technology

As you just get out of uni and are looking for a job, obviously you need decent grades if you want a good job.  As for which uni you went to, it all depends on which degree.  For example although UoM is ranked higher than Monash overall, Monash is much more renowned for its engineering degree.

Bachelor of Science (Mathematics & Statistics) - Discrete Mathematics & Operations Research

Uh. It's really really cold. Probably around -10 (including wind chill). Had to borrow dad's poletec. We go into shops just to warm up a bit. There's still a bit of snow around and the streets/lanes are quite icy, and if not that, slushy and slippery. We've been to lots of churches and public buildings and seen lots of old paintings. Dad and I are taking a lot of pictures. Mum and dad are wearing their fur hats. We have yet to go on a gondola and probably won't get around to doing it.
I got quite excited about being able to read a latin inscription, and then realised it was a famous one and that most people would be able to read it: pax tibi marce, evangelista meus.
I also have to fight falling asleep at 7pm, and I somehow wake up before 8am everyday :O

Mum and dad say hi, how's the moving going, and ask that you turn the heating on in the apartment in Copenhagen when you move in. They also say that they hope you are keeping warm.
See you tomorrow.

that'll give you an indication, but as gloamglozer said, it really does depend on the course - what are you interested in. for law i'd say monash and melbourne are more or less on a par, journalism, fashion/design, media etc then RMIT, academia/theory then melbourne, practical in-the-job experience then monash

this may cause a stir lol people have different opinions - what are you interested in?
2009 ENTER = 99.85
2010 - Science/Law at Monash
