What do you define as study?

Doing Homework which has been SET?
Doing revision for SACS/exams?
Doing extra questions?

Um, well 4-5 hours, depending on how the week is.

Max an hour a day, 2 hours on weekends. Of course there'd be the intense sessions where I'd do a lot (Methods Probability, did all chapters in a weekend)
VCE 2009
English, Methods, Specialist, IT: Software Development, Religion & Society, French

Thats a whole lot of study.

Do you guys allow for sports and socializing? Do you use any methods to keep it interesting or do you enjoy studying? I prefer to call studying - enlightenment. Expanding my horizons... hah Anyone else like this?

I can deal with spending 4 hours on an assignment at one time but its the revising that I need to learn how to do. Forcing myself to revise even when im up-to-date with everything. Should be a good challenge.

Well not many people do a sports etc, so that frees up a tonne of time.

I have a tonne of shops nearby, which a lot saved time in terms of commuting, I give myself free time on the weekends.

In terms of revision, I did NONE throughout the year, save for 3-4 days before each SAC, and I managed a dozen or so A's and A+'s  ><

It is do-able.

Same goes for exam, did revision night before, or 2 days before, and even THEN it wasn't spending the whole day studying, still got me into Melbourne Uni =P

You bring up a good point (I assume Kenhung123 u were talking to me?)

I think HOMEWORK for me >was< revision?

Because 80% of people in my class never did the homework, or left it till last minute, whereas I did it day by day taking it slowly, thereby acting like revision??

I sort of need a plan. A routine. Something like this.
- Get eveything done as soon as I get it. As soon as possible rather. Dont leave it til the night before. KEEP up-to-date!
- A week before SACs turn up the revision so I know my shit leading into them.
- Have a master revision every weekend, different subject each week. This would be preparation the half-year exam. So I keep the knowledge of the semesters work so far relatively fresh in my mind. It would entail simply reading over all of my notes so far.

Probably unnecessary, but to each their own.

I did very little. I usually did the set homework, except in Methods. Intense studying the night before a SAC, and reasonable studying for the week before each exam. Otherwise, that was it.
2008 - Revolutions (35 raw)
2009 - Further (48), Business (46), English (41), Literature (38), Methods (31)

Holy crap 97.20!!!!!!!

I was never good at sitting long hours without breaks. I always took breaks, every hour to hour and a half or so and listened to my ipod, or watched stuff on youtube or checked my e-mail and stuff like that. 4 hours seems amazing to sit through in 1 go.

I didn't really have extra curricular activities. I did do debating with DAV from year 9 to the end of year 11, but dropped it in year 12. I mainly watched movies every Friday night to relax after an often long and tiring/stressful week.
