Wow. In Literature, you couldn't lose more than 6 marks on the end of year (marked out of 40) if you wanted to get an A+.

I thought that was obvious though. Anything lower than a 17/20 is an A. I think just learnt all about marks and SACs for Lit in yr11.

That's coz the 2007 legal exam was too long... barely any1 REALLY finished it. Like, I answered them all, but I knew I hadn't gotten full marks on it and could've easily written more if I had time. I think a lot of ppl were in a similar situation.

8 marks midyear, compared to 12.5 marks end of year for accounting A+ bracket. So the end of year WAS a bit harder...

Thx 4 the link!

You notice that spesh and methods are regarded as the hardest subjects in VCE... doesn't that say *more* about them? :)

Oh, that seems obvious now that you point it out. Don't mind me. I was just impressed at myself :D

And I doubt it on the maths thing, you need heaps of confidence (or arrogance) to get anywhere in maths, which is something girls tend to have less of than boys :P

Confidence? No way, you need intelligence and critical thinking. (Well, for spec, anyway)

I'm just thinking back to my methods classes (I don't really know for spesh) where a lot of girls would actually know how to solve the problems, but wouldn't write anything down until somebody confirmed  that they were correct, like, they didn't even have the confidence to use trial and error to make mistakes and figure out where they went wrong (if they even did go wrong), whereas I think boys seem to be more willing to just dive right in and try things out. These are just my observations though, others probably had a different class to mine.

And Ahmad, I don't think you're arrogant! Although you are probably very confident in maths- for good reason, you have skillz :D

Yeah, they might not be confident, but if you're not going to give something a go, then that is just poor exam strategy - not a matter of arrogance.

I didn't really mean arrogance as such, I was just teasing :) (although some of the boys in my class were very arrogant...)
