hi all! as u can see, this year i have performed really poorly in BM. My question is should i do 6 subjects so that this result isn't included in my ENTER or just continue doing 5 subjects. I really need to get an ENTER of 95+ or else i wont get into my commerce course.

Five, 3.5 extra on aggregate seems pretty decent IMO (although that is coming from someone who IS only doing 5). Doing six will only distract you and affect all your scores. Unless you are aiming for over 99+ then the extra aggregate won't make a HUGE differences.

Also, if you are aiming for 95+ rethink you goals. :P

Oh, siggy was raw. Even so, extra 3.1 (if BM is your lowest) is still good...Heck ANYTHING extra is good. If you do 6 subjects this year your LOWEST non-english subject has to be better than 31 scaled for it to take over your BM score. Is it really worth the extra effort? Is it worth possibly doing worst on your other subjects?

Yeah, you are going to need to aim a lot higher, especially in English, if you wan't to get 95+.
You need an aggregate of ~160 just to get a 90+ ATAR.

I personally wouldn't bother with the extra subject.  Just give the 5 you are doing as much effort as possible.

If you get 38 raw in chinese and 37 raw in all your other subjects, that'll be 95ish.

I would recommend doing just 5 subjects if you're this unconfident about your subjects. Put the time and effort in, and I really think you'll surprise yourself :)

i dont think they're her goals, i think theyre her predictions. If her goal is 95+ then obviously she would want more than her sig says....or shes just being modest.

@red bull ~ BTW do 5 subjects.

Yeah, there's no point trying to push BM out into a 7th subject. Just make sure it stays bottom two and you'll be fine =]

amirite?

OP im aiming for 90+  and to get that I know I need (after scaling) three 40's, a 35 and a 30 at the very least. An aggregate of 158 = 90, on the 2009 scaling report. 3 top 8% finishes, 1 top 25% and 1 top 50%, sounds do-able for me. Sorry to go on about my own situation but what im trying to say is that you need to get higher SS's than your sig predictions.

6 subjects might be useful in that you've got a higher potential to get a large aggregate. Depends on your aim - what are you aiming for? For a 99+, your BM score would make heaps of difference.
Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43
ATAR: 99.75
