Aim for 50, not just scraping in the 40+ range (losing 10-15 marks), then you know you tried your best and have no regrets

I tend to aim lower so I never disappoint ymself...probably not the best tactic though. (Subconsciously, I think I aim higher than what I say (in anything I do) though.)

i tend to do that too, but for next year ill stick to what i said up there

0.o I never aimed for any score, didn't care about SS at all until after exams

As for question interpretation, what I did was to hold my pacer under the words as I read the problem. This way I never missed a word. Then I would underline any significant question conditions, draw out an arrow originating from the wording, and rewrite that significant condition in a summarized form. Seeing as though I've gone down from 3+ careless mistakes per test at the start of the year, to 1 per test/exam at the very most towards the year's end, it works.

a pacer is one of those pencils that you refill with leads and you don't have to sharpen.

Now consider those lines of "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" as the exam problem wording. Those red lines represent the space over which I will hover the pacer over.

ohhhh i get it, your annotations are just for important information that you wont have to re-read the paragraph for. thanks for showing that. i'm so gonna test it out in tests and things!
