Just curious:)

Why did you decide to move interstate?
Where are you going&what are you doing there?

& also if already moved, how do you find it?
different to your original expectations?
do you regret doing so?

Any other info. on the topic feel free to talk about.

I just want to get peoples opinions on moving interstate for uni as it's something i'm considering - sounds extremely exciting but scary at the same time.

well im hoping to do physiotherapy at latrobe bendigo or shepparton since i obviously cant get into bundoora. I wanted to do dentistry but didn't get the enter so physiotherapy was my back up option. I'm aiming to study at either shepparton or bendigo for 1 year and then get high enough scores to do a transfer down to the bundoora campus whereby i can study whilst staying at home.

I expected that uni would be a lonely experience and I wouldn't make many friends and I would concerntrate on my work. I was quite wrong. My friends at uni are quite awesome and because they're from all around Australia/the world, I have free accommodation should I travel to a bunch of different places :P I actually think it's much easier to make friends if you aren't commuting into uni everyday.

I don't regret it at all. I don't really wonder much about what it would've been like if I took arts at uom, but I knew I would wonder what the PhB at ANU would be like if I didn't take up the opportunity. Financially, I would have been in a better situation if I went to uom though.

You can also combat homesickness by just staying busy. By the end of first year, I didn't really get homesick at all and before then, after the first term or so, I only got homesick when I was stressed with assignments/exams.

Very hard if your parents don't support you. For starters you need to find a way to come up with around $15,000 each year.

^^^^

You can live at the University of New England for around 9k per year, which is pretty good when you consider it includes all your bills and meals.

yeah im not the biggest fan of the location either.
i'd only live in a capital city, sydney, brisbane, ect.
but considering you'd be living at college it could still be very fun. mmm
