Someday I will get around to learning his 2nd piano concerto (never mind the fact that it'll take me years to learn...).

I hope you have big hands

It's all about Rachmaninoff. Someday I will get around to learning his 2nd piano concerto (never mind the fact that it'll take me years to learn...). Beethoven isn't all bad, some of his (orchestral) pieces are decent.
Baroque and Classical music can go fuck itself though.

Thank you, Baroque music is way too repetitive, you can almost predict every note based on the previous one :)
Rachmaninoff is a great composer, but who could possibly be even greater than Stravinsky??? :P

Baroque music isn't that predictable... ok it might repeat motifs a lot, but that's just the style, it can be fun picking out motifs. You need to find a really good pianist (and for god's sake, kill the harpsichord already) to play baroque music, like Glenn Gould. I find his rendition of Bach's Goldberg Variations (1982) especially soothing. Baroque music is the only kind of music where, even in complicated polyphonics, each note is cherished for its purity.

I don't really listen to it often, but it is nice occasionally. Every style of music can put you in a different state of mind, so it's really fun to try experiment with everything. My favourite piano music is impressionist music by Debussy and Ravel, followed by romantic music by Chopin and Rachmaninov.
