Hey guys, what was the cut off for Engineering at Melbourne?
84.7 I think

...Right?  But my friend got an ENTER of 90, and it was her second preference and she got her third preference.
I don't understand how this could work.
Are you sure 84.7 wasn't fringe?  Because I seem to recall it not telling anybody what the clearly in was in the paper.
I remember a '-' in the column?

There are a couple of posters on the Whirlpool forum saying they got 90+ and didn't get into Melb engineering. One even claims he didn't get in with 94.25

I got Commerce/Law at Deakin Geelong! :)

Enter went up by 5 points from 85.3 to 90.10. When i went to the change of preference day they said it would only go up by one or two points.

Also quick question I have a friend who got a 95.65 and didn't get into her first preference: professional communications at RMIT, is there much chance she'll get into it in the other rounds?

My friend got in with high 80's (he had an underrepresented SEAS application though...)
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

That's pretty insane considering last years ENTER.

I'm another one who didn't get in. I got science though :S It's silly that they say the clearly in is going to be 85, yet thats a whole 10 points off. Why would they even say that if they have no clue? lol

85 would be the clearly-in for the previous year and at most it should be used as an indicator, not as a guarantee that the score will get you into the course.

Yeah, an indicator, but if I needed a 95, then why even bother having it?
