Based on The University of Melbourne's selection guarantee, has anyone been offered a place because of that?

But the thing is, is there anyone on VN that has got in based on their "selection guarantee"?

Well there's no guarantees but you can only assume so since it is very appealing for all students who fit under the criteria to apply for the UoM due to needing a lower ATAR.

If this was to continue for 2010, the students who do get a 78 or 88 ATAR to get into their respective courses, can it be said that they would be in even before first round offers? Since all the UoM is stating all that is required is a 78 or 88. So even on the morning of your VCE results you would know????

Pretty much you would know on the day of results day if UoM decides to continue with it.

One little tip for future applicants: Submit all evidence as a hard copy to VTAC, who will then pass it on to UoM's selection officers.  I know it's a bitch, but if you do, then it will be a "guarantee".
