Does anyone know what day the AAD is for Uni Melb students this or last year (to get an idea)? Is it a universal date for all commerce students or are there specific times and days for each individual student?

And just a question.  I know you have to attend the information session for your core degree, but how about if you're interested in doing a breadth component?  Is it recommended that you attend those info sessions as well?

I think there's a separate info session regarding breadth for your degree

What if for example I'm doing Science as my degree, but I picked a language.. say Spanish as my breadth. Should I attend the specific spanish session?

So is anyone going to any other sessions on top of the compulsory one?

Yeah.  I plan on staying for the whole day - 11 to 5.  As crazy as it sounds, but it's for a useful purpose since I have plans.

EDIT:  Sorry, I just realised how evil I just sounded lol

So, now that AAD has come and gone, what did people actually do? I got there late for the first lecture, figured out I didn't need it and then chilled with a friend of mine for the rest of the day.

What did I actually get out of the day?
- Student ID
- Concession card/Myki concession card
- Student diary
- Show bag for O-week
- Visited some places
- Saw an old friend
- Attended no lectures.

To get your student ID, diary and concession form (if applicable), you need to have selected your subjects and have had them approved before you can go to Wilson Hall by 2nd February.

It's recommended, I think.  But I went today and in Wilson Hall, it said that if you do it after 2nd February, then you will have to go to your student centre instead and sort it out there all the jazz there.

I'm not really sure what would happen if you don't do it by 2nd Feb.
