Few questions that i'm mighty confused with
« on: January 19, 2010, 04:00:00 pm »
hey guys, sorry for making another topic, but i'm tripping out right now..

- anyway, i received an offer from swinburne last night, which i will be accepting, i believe to do so is to actually enroll on the day? anyway, i haven't received my letter from vtac yet, i should be expecting it tomorrow, yes?
- with assigning a proxy to enroll on your behalf, on the proxy sheet it's got an area where you write what units you want to study. how do i even know what units my course offers me?! do i get them in the mail when i get my vtac letter confirming me of my offer?
- how do i do the hecs thing? it says to do it through your respective TAC, but i can't find anywhere on the vtac my info place, and apparently i have to bring in that form with me to the enrollment session? hecs is what most australian domestic students are signing upto, correct, so they dont have to pay all of the fees?

i think that's all for now, i've read heaps about these on the net, but can't seem to comprehend anything at the moment, haha.

also, how difficult would it be to transfer to the same course, at the same uni, but at a different campus midway through the year?

cheers for the replies :)

(1) Yes you will recieve in the next couple of days
(2) go on the swinburne website, click courses (at the top), type your course in to the search bar, click on your course, scroll down to the Units of Study section (I assume Stage 1 means Year 1, I'm an RMIT kid, not too sure)
(3) If I remember correctly: If your course number ends in a 1, this will be done automatically (or you have to do it during uni orientation, thats what we did) - Make sure you select 'Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)' - That's hecs
2007: Religion and Society (42---->42.1)
2008: Mathematical Methods CAS (50),
Specialist Mathematics (47---->52.8),
English (43---->42.9),
Chemistry (49---->49.7),
Physics (45---->47.5)
ENTER: 99.80 :)
Tutoring Spesh and Methods CAS this year - Check my ad in the tutoring board for more details...

i cant find any of the unit for my particular course on there :S my unit vtac course code was 35101. on the proxy sheet it has an area for me to write in 8 units, so just a little confused about that.

with hecs, how do i know if im enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place? is that just the course i'm doing so? in that case, my couse which ends in 1, means i am enrolled in so? do i get the form from the university that i'm going to, in this case, swinburne? so since i'm getting a proxy to enroll for me (being my dad), does he have to get the form from there and fill it out?

just a bit confused really, have a lot of different types of information spinning in my mind :S

cheers again.
