Which Study Note Books for Which Subjects

I know, i know.

I've posted about a gazillion threads about study notes but now i really need recommendations.

I'm going to the city Monday, so,  i thought i might swing by academic and general and pick up all i need.

I thought there would only be one or two study note companies (A++, Checkpints) but as you can see from the excal table i attatched... theres quiet a lot (some subjects ive found up to 8 so far!) so any recommendations or books to avoid would help me narrow it down.

I obviously dont want to buy all 8  :D

[see the excel document below]

PS: Are any of these actual notes or just exam questions, should i buy them before the exams in that case or are they useful for SACs too

I reckon a really good way to do this would be to go down to the shop and just have a flick through all the books which could take a long time but I think needs to be done as every person has their own personal choices. For bio I found checkpoints was definitely useful but you can probably buy them of people here for much cheaper of the 09 edition. For now I think A+ ones are critical. I am not sure about other subjects :P

Aren't the A+ ones just summary notes? Sounds a bit pointless from where I stand.

For chem, don't get exambusters. Exambusters is a total waste of money (it cost quite a bit for what you get). It's just a collection of exam questions with the assesment reports stuck on the side, which you'll no doubt end up doing anyway. But it depends, if you're not going to end up doing practice exams then get it.
Lisachem is okay I suppose, it's kind of a brief run- down of the course, and as they say, the superfluous stuff has been cut out. I'm thinking of selling mine because I kind of regret buying it haha. Tell me if you're interested haha.
I also think that the jacaranda study card things are a waste of money, unless you use cards to revise.
I think A+ notes are worth getting though :)
I heard that leading edge is crap, but I've never actually looked at one.
Anyway, I hope this helps. In general, the ones worth getting are NEAP, Insight and A+. They are pretty awesome companies :)

Checkpoints, NEAP, and I thought Leading Edge helped me with methods last year. I had A+, but I'm not really sure if it helped me or not :\

yer a+ notes are great for learning stuff quickly. got them for psych, read it once and ended up getting more than half the mc questions right off a vcaa mid-year exam without reading any textbooks.

Also, where else can you buy Checkpoints? Academic and General from here is a bit far out to buy one item lol.
