Anyone out there who is doing 6 subjects in yr 12 or has previously done 6 in '09.

any tips?

and is it really that hard or is it just depending on the subjects you take?

I was going to but then 3 midyears + mid year uni exam didn't sound very appealing.

I'm doing 6 subjects this year if you include enhancement subject, it doesn't seem too much of a problem to me.

yeah doing 5 vce subjects and then an enhancement shouldn't be too bad.
the enhancement just adds an extra two hours and a bit of work once a week to do.

but i'm considering dropping further once school starts.
or ignoring maths and aiming high in further.
whatever i think is better after a few weeks!

doing 6 vce subjects would be much too intense for most people, so only really consider this number if the 6th is a enhancement studies.

join the club kyzoo.

unless you need physics as a prereq for uni, then probably drop it.
you will have 5 subjects in total + enhancement study, so you will still get an awesome atar.

no point wasting time on something that probably isn't even going towards your atar.
took me a while to realize this.

I would recommend it since you already have 6 total including your MM from year 11 (a luxury denied to me by my school) with physics withstanding. The two other people I know at my school doing enhancement are dropping physics so they only have 4 3/4 subjects to contend with.

I'm also doing 6 subjects, however i might end up dropping a subject before school starts. Currently pissed off at parents, who won't give me a tutor for every subject  >:(

depends which subjects ur doing really, its possible with subjects like food-tech.
2010- English, Methods (CAS), Physics, Specialist, Chem.

It also depends if you're willing to take the subject seriously or not, I believe that if you're planning to get high 40's/50 for any given subject, (regardless of art/science) they all require a lot of study. Just saying its possible with subjects like food-tech is an insult to people that do it and take it seriously. I could do the 6 subjects I'm doing all this year and completely ignore physics or spesh, it wouldn't be any different than me doing food-tech.

^^^ i agree, but the problem with food tech is that you get raped on the scaling unless you can manage 50.

its possible but it depends on how you manage your workload and what subject you do and weather you enjoy the subject. im doing 5 mainly because im lazy and want to excel in business management and accounting so gonna do loads of study for them so a sixth subject in my case would not go well.

Before i took food tech i didn't realise how much scaling fucks it up. Tbh before last year i knew nothing about scaling and enters.

And also, believe it or not but the folio for food takes up a vassst amount of time.

Damn food tech and now my low scaled score for it :(
