Full Time Uni 2 days a week? wtf?

hey guys, i did my enrollment on Thursday, only mange to post this now as I don't have work on Sundays. But i did my timetable for monash and i have to pick certain days. I was wondering if i have read the wrong thing. I was basically choosing my time preferences for the units i chose, accounting, business statistics, microeconomics and management.

it was all on monday + tuesday. none of them clash, they havn't released my time table yet but if i get my 1-3 pref, i will only be attending uni 2 days a week? if so i only have 4 units for semester 1, can i pick another one as the monash lady said you can do 10 max in first year.

Those subjects wouldn't have many contact hours. I'm assuming 12 hours a week so it's easy to fit all of those onto 2 days. I myself have a full timetable on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays and still have lectures on thursday and friday. The way I think of it, you lucked out

To do 10 units I think you'd have to overload and I don't think first years are allowed to do that? Unless of course you did summer semester - but that's only one subject.

Also 4 units a semester isn't as easy as it sounds, and to do well in 5 units you would have to be quite motivated and disciplined.

Exactly... you may only have *class* 2 days a week (lucky bastard... you got an awesome timetable) but you will still need to do a lot of reading and private study if you want to pass*.


*Okay... for accounting and microeconomics... not stats or management though... I think all in all I read 2 chapters of the management textbook and found it too painful to go on.

It doesn't seem right... are you sure you've properly allocated both your tutes and lectures?
I'm quite sure that both accounting and stats have lectures twice weekly...

nah, ive been playing around with allocate+ and ive managed to find a way to have everything in 2 days cept for abuot 1 lecture (and that includes doing a LOTE so more contact hrs)

Yeah... but he's only listed accounting once on Mon @ 2pm, and stats once on Tues @ 10am... my point is that both these classes have lectures *twice* a week... this is why I get the feeling he hasn't done it properly...
