its roughly just under half maths, like calculations of different things using quite simple formulas mostly.

edit, waiit was this vce chem? thats what i responded too...

If it's VCE Chemistry, then it is just some basic maths

Yeah definitely, in fact chemistry is referred to a pretty 'math-sy' subject, not so much as physics but most questions will be based upon calculations of masses/concentrations etc, its all basic though, like adding/multiplying/dividing

There's quite a bit of calculus in the more advanced stuff though.

There's quite a bit of calculus in the more advanced stuff though.

which we need not worry about :P

0.o there's calculus in chem? Anyways the maths part of Chem is more about understanding the concepts than being good at maths. Maths simply facilitates the concepts.

max I think you will need for chem maths is just basic algebra.

the math part of chem is the bomb, the theory ... not so much the bomb

I convinced my sister to do Chemistry on the premise that minimal mathematics is involved :P That is after she refused to do any maths. :(

There's only basic maths which you can use the calculator for anyway. :)
