^ i could easily go stupid and buy A+ notes, Neap Smart Study + Exam Guides and Checkpoints for every subject.  (practically already have except for A+ chem notes, which i will inevitably end up buying anyway haha!) :P
Are exam busters any good?
I have the exam busters for methods and I like it a lot :)
Gonna get A+ notes for methods tomorrow, apparently they're good ?
Umm anything else worth buying?
I got A+ Methods, haven't really looked at it in great detail yet, but IMO, it is fair average, too basic, and just goes over crap you really should know.
The Biology one is quite good though. :)
Every time I go near Academic & General or the Senior Student Resource Centre (where they try and sell you bloody everything in the store), I always end up buying something. :(
Still tossing up on checkpoints, I mean gosh, the questions are available for free on the net from VCAA, do I really need to pay $25 for them???
I've bought checkpoints only from previous students, not from stores, it's a rip-off.
Where is Academic and General? Does it have good deals? And what's the Senior Student Resource Centre? Sorry, I'm rather new to this study guide store shopping regime.

It's only because I go to school in the city haha.

the guy standing in the the door is so fucking annoying.  he literally doesn't shutup about how great each and every one one of their damn products is!

http://www.academicbooks.com.au/contact.html

and nah, no good deals, both your usual rip offs.
A&G sometimes gives you a 5% discount on new books, after making the price of the book 5% more than what it normally costs.  bastards!

So I can go buy absolutely everything there, which is what I intend to do (if there are good deals and resources) :D Need to get prepared for the next 2 years - just arming myself with 500 textbooks/study guides/etc. so I have resources.

Wont they be outdated in 2 years time though? :/

It varies subject by subject.  It depends on when the current study designs end.

True, even still, sometimes the study design doesn't change much.

Previously yes, but if the national curriculum is going ahead, then I would imagine there would be quite a bit of change to make all the states and territories align with each other.

Fair enough, yeah, I decided not to buy anything - my bag was already filled with 11kg of past papers and most of all, course guides for uni. Expo was massive, there was like a sea of people and all the seminars I went to were full ;)
How do you know when the study designs for each subject end - do they give you any warning?

Lol I came in with my massive school bag, it only had my english text in it... but ended up filling the whole thing - came home and weighed it, and my bag was 11kg. I think that's the heaviest my school bag's been (I don't take my laptop home). University course guides weigh way too much lol I think I'm gonna have a sore shoulder for the rest of the week. ;)

oh sadly not as much freebies as last year D:
What did you get last year? This year there were VCAA past papers, Neap drink bottles, course guides, notes from the expo lectures from neap... not a lot of random freebies really lol
