are we allowed to download ebooks from rapidshare/megaupload or torrent with our uni internet account with melbourne or monash?

At Monash it will come up on your internet usage log thing (which you can check through my.monash). It's there for people to check if they cared enough - so I wouldn't risk it.

I tried torrenting a bit at uni but they blocked a lot of torrents T_T

Yeah when I was at rmit they blocked sites like rapidshare and megaupload and they blocked torrent ports as well.

There are two torrents out there: Physics Complete and Maths Complete. I have them both and there is some interesting stuff in there.
There is Gigapedia for individual books.

gigapedia doesn't seem to work at all?? isn't it just a quite summary of books?? lol. can't seem to download my investments book >.<
