I am *so* over all the shit food. I do my best to eat healthy, but it's really hard when you don't bring your own lunch. I guess the pro for me this semester is that I only eat lunch on-campus once a week (Tuesdays - I'm on-campus 12-6). On Mondays and Fridays I have don't have any breaks, so I pretty much resort to a liquid-and-snack diet while walking between classes (think Up-and-Go and a nut bar or an apple).

I regularly eat from the Asian place near the fish and chip shop - I enjoy their spicy chicken sushi, and their satay beef noodles. I also like the cannelloni from meeting point. I still occasionally buy from the meeting point Asian place, but not often... I like their sweet and sour chicken, but I know how supremely fatty it is.

you can't eat healthy at uni unless you are willing to pay ridiculous amounts for a tiny bit of salad...

Agreed.

Though the fruit salad at the Den is something like $4... that's quite reasonable.
It doesn't really qualify as lunch though... last semester I bought it in the morning before class and ate it for breakfast if I hadn't had time to eat at home.

I got food poisoning from the kebab I ate at The Den, and have not eaten anything there since (I didn't much like their pasta either, when I ordered that once).

A lot of people have said good things about those kebabs, but that's just my experience.

:O I haven't had a foccacia in ages! If I go to the Den though I'll probably get punched for being a science student.

When I used to work at a subway, our owners had plans to open one at monash Clayton which I was so excited about. But that fell through.

I never get the chicken from the peri peri place.. Just the chips.

Instead of doing my bio essay i was googling places to eat around monash haha...(Found this off google)

Yeah, the asian place near the fish and chip joint aint that good...

Peri Peri has nice 'spicey hot' chips, big size/cheap price.

Haven't eaten at meeting point yet but i hear decent things. Dear god what was i thinking...meeting point is terrible and i HAVE eaten there...the 'food' is crawling with yet to be discovered species and the stingey old asian lady always loads it up with rice and relatively little of what you ordered (eg chicken/curry/stir fry) i don't know how they're still open.

I meant WHOLE FOODS, heard good things about whole foods...

Infact i might go look around for some decent food now...or just pick some up from the city on the way home...

I usually bring my own lunch, but having said that I quite like Wholefoods, or the spicy chips that you can get at peri peri or whatever its called, if i feel like a junk food hit.

If you don't mind junk food then the fish and chip shop in campus center is pretty good, too, and I don't mind the pizzas at that pizza place nearby (but I don't remember what it's called).

Bear in mind I only buy from campus centre once a week or so, it's expensive and I'm poor!

oh. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT GO TO MEETING POINT. IT IS HORRIBLE!
