"Mathematical Methods & CAS" Child Board

With regards to that child board, would it be better to rename it just "Mathematical Methods CAS" since VCAA has retired normal Methods at the end of last year?

But I've been thinking, how about all the normal Methods threads in there?

I agree, and maybe threads older than 18 months deleted?
They won't be added to anyway, and it seems like a waste of space.
Just my opinion :)

Or maybe we could archive them somewhere for future reference if need be - like Sweet Nothings.

But someone will have to go through all the threads and sort them out...  Ouch.  Too much trouble, perhaps?

No-one reads the old threads anyway (in terms of maths questions etc.) I've seen some questions asked like 5 times in different threads, and then repeated again this year + some people (I know I did) just posted the screenshot from the pdf.

Might as well delete all threads

It'd have to come down to the mods because it's part of our job description.  But ultimately, enwiabe is the one with the administrative capability to create an archive section should one be decided.

Wouldn't that mean people would lose some of their post count?

Yeah.  That's one of the reasons why I didn't put forward the idea of deleting posts but my main one was was TT said before.

You won't lose postcount, but the forum total postcount would go down, and it might hurt the admin's pride.

This is true for basically all forums, leave the old threads there. =]
