cause only 6 can contribute to your enter?
And...
2 more is ACTUALLY a waste of time, effort and stress?
I agree with you - this way I can probably stress out in year 11 and relax in year 12 while everyone else stresses. Pick up some more extra-curriculars :)

Time for an instrument or a girlfriend or something.
I'm a girl LOL
Picking up/continuing another instrument sounds like a great idea though :)

Why not do them at ur top 6 instead?..

because i don't want it to be counted towards my enter since i wont be doing any work for it and get a horrible study score... and i can't drop any of my other ones except perhaps uni chem which i'll see, (probably won't).

Get home at 7ish (rehearsals/various other strange things...), chillax on the computer, eat dinner in about ten minutes, chillax then start working whilst talking on MSN from about 8 onwards.

This is why I need three spares a day.  >.>
Wow, that's a lot of spares a day! How many spares will I get (see 2012 on my signature) in year 12?

Potentially more than me, but I'm not sure if your school lets you do only three subjects at school in year 12...
What am I meant to do? 7 VCE subjects and an UMEP altogether? naaaa can't be stuffed doing 8 subjects in total... not worth the effort.

Not quite because of your "VCE" - it's more because of school admin stuff.  From what I gather, schools hate the idea of having kids who just bludge around all day doing nothing in their year 12 - not sure what the policy at MGGS is, but at MGS you have to "officially" be doing five subjects in year 12 (ie. Uni subjects count).

In terms of SCORE, yes; but is there not more to school than score??

Barely - I'm doing VCE for an ENTER/ATAR...?

I agree with M@tty.  Coming from someone who was intending to do 8 subjects in total, you only have your youth once.  If you're more or less guaranteed entry into the course you want, why not learn more whilst you're at it?

I know people in my school that are doing 4 subs, they have 10 spares a week...I know some who have 12 spares a week...

but then again, maybe that policy is observed in the better schools lol!

Spend it learning an instrument or partying a bit more or use the extra time to improve your other subjects.
How can one be guaranteed?.. You point only applies to people guaranteed into a course then.

What if you have extra time on top of that?  :p

But yeah, fair enough.  If you need to prioritise getting into a course, do that.  However, I think it's legit for high achieving students to push themselves into learning a wider breadth of subjects.  =)

Wait, I haven't folded yet...

:P

I stand by the assertion that more subjects =\= useless. For all students, not just high achievers.
