Would their relationship exist because a mission statement can covey the corporate culture of an organisation?

The mission statement is usually a vague representation of the organisation's objectives. The objectives then generally form the priorities and hence the culture of the organisation.

There isn't a DIRECT link betwene the mission statement and the culture, but if you link in objectives and how that links to them you should be right.
