Screwed year 12?

Methods - 70% around half the year level got over that..
English - Two sacs A borderline A+
Chemistry - around rank 5 of my relatively strong chemistry cohort
Biology - first sac was good.. probably top 10.. second sac was ... not so good probably top 20..

My teacher says even if I dont get in the top 20 in my biology sacs at school, I can still get over a 45 if my exams are really good, is that correct?

sacs are not everything. you should should do well on the exams and they should boost  up the sac

I've done so average this year compared to last where i just had the two 3/4's and worked my but off for them and disregarded everything else lol.

I'm still probably ranked in top 10 or 15 for my subjects but i just feel really disappointed and demotivated lol and am just hoping i can do well on the exams to nullify the impact of SAC's.

Same I've focused on my 2 Year 12 subjects, especially now its exam time I don't know what I'm going to do about my 1/2 subject exams. Very tempted to ignore them completely! But I've been getting good in my Year 11 subjects surprisingly but average on 3/4 SACs, have to see how Year 12 exams go...

I'd hope not! If I attempt to continue with olympiad seriously, I'm going to only do 1 3/4, if not I'm going for the 3!

Chinese was the killer for me, cause you get stressed over the detailed study. Do like, 100000 exams for methods in term 3 or even before term 3 holidays and ull be okay . If you do an hour of methods a day it's good .

Chinese was the killer for me, cause you get stressed over the detailed study. Do like, 100000 exams for methods in term 3 or even before term 3 holidays and ull be okay . If you do an hour of methods a day it's good .

Ok, I'm going to dump Chinese into year 12 then. Methods and Biology next year, or I might dump Biology into year 12 too so I get 7 subjects in year 12! YAY!!!

I think I'm doing ok.

Eng- Rank 1 for entire cohort (major shock) 24/30
Methods - 83%
Legal - Rank 1 (between 24 and 30/30)
Chem - Our practical SAC failed because of unexpected reactions?? so we all have to try it again over the holidays

Yeah, I got 25/30 for English and that was also the highest in the whole year ! :O

Yes I did cheryl, I got 32 for Chinese and 44 with methods, average. Chinese, to be honest, was my worst subject. I had tantrums with my mother and stuff just to quit but she refused. Saying that, DON'T QUIT AZURE AND CHERYL! The scaling is good despite this philosophy of doing what you like. Also, I literally was one of THE WORST, so my score means nothing. Do you go to xin jin shan?

Yeah, Chinese will probs be my worst subject. Nevertheless, I guess I'm doing it just because of the massive scaling and the fact that I might as well (I've been going to Chinese School since prep because of this). I would LOVE to pick up an alternative subject such as economics, legal studies or do both physics/chem in yr 12.

At least ur keeping it ^^. It does make u feel slightly better to have an Option B (Chinese with massive scaling instead of no chinese and no massive scaling).  If you get a tutor in the last term for your detailed study and stuff, it should be all good.

Apparently, 1 chem sac is worth 1 multiple choice (1 mark) in the exam.

Go figure.

Yeah for Methods, do heaps of practice exams. You can never do too many.
