Exponential and logarithmic functions Questions!

Can anyone also help me with this question, i tried to do it for ages and never got the same formula for V.

A metal worker is required to cut a circular cylinder from a solid sphere of radius 5cm. Express r in terms of h where r cm is the radius of the cylinder and h cm is the height of the cylinder, hence show the volume. V cm^3, of the cylinder is V=(1/4)(pi)(h)(100-h^2)

Draw a line connecting the centre to a meeting-point between the cylinder edge and the sphere edge (does this make sense?)

Draw a line connecting the centre to the midpoint of the adjacent circular base

As I said somewhere, for these types of questions, you need to 'build' a suitable triangle (etc.) which incorporates not only the information you know (and the variable allowed), but also what you want.
Then you should be able to do it
