Hey guys need some help with this subject

Let $\delta : = \mu_E - \mu_C$
Consider the following estimates:
$\hat {\mu}_E = 6.2$ , $\hat {\sigma}_E = 0.6$ , $\hat {\mu}_C = 7.7$ , $\hat {\sigma}_C = 1.3$

Thus $\hat {\delta} = 6.2 - 7.7 = -1.5$
a) Assuming that $\hat {\mu}_E$ and $\hat {\mu}_C$ are normal and independent, use the figures above to obtain an estimate of $se_{\delta}$ , the standard error of $\delta$ . Show your working.

b) Show that your estimate of $se_{\delta}$ is consistent with the 95% confidence interval for $\delta$ , namely (-2.38,-0.62)
