E in Media - Study Score ruined?

Recently got our marks back for the first SAC in Media..
I thought I'd done generally poor but not THIS poor; I got an E, which I never get so this couldn't have come at a worst time.

I still want to do well in Media, so I'm wondering how much the SAC for Outcome 1 contributes to my Study Score and if I am still able to redeem myself with a respectable SS.

The SAC was on narrative.

If anyone could give me an estimate of what kind of grades will now get me what kind of SS I'd greatly appreciate it.

depends what the others in your cohort got. If your ranked well then continue to rank well then kill the exam. :) then one bad sac wont have any effect on SS

Yea, should be minimal...maybe ask your teacher what the sac weighting was?

It won't 'ruin' your study score, especially if many of your classmates got around the same result. However, for most schools, generally the difficulty of the exam is on par or more difficult than what you get in class. You therefore really need to lift your performance if you want a good study score. I.e. if it's just an anomaly, you could still do very well.

My class averaged a C, with a couple getting As and only a few of us getting an E.
I think I'll have a word to my teacher asking what the percentage of this SAC is.
So basically if I lift my game from here on out, I shouldn't have too much to worry about?
I was aiming for a 40 in Media but I think I'm going to lower my standards to 30 - 35.

Nah dont give up hope. You can still get 40 if u improve ur RANK within ur cohort.
