Revision for Midyear Exam, NEAP vs TSFX.

I reckon it cant hurt to hear something explained a different way. If you have the money and the time why not, also depends on your skill in the subject and where you're at though.

If you are confident with the content, no need to go - especially if you think 'everyone's going so I should too'. I haven't been to any of them, but I did flick through a set of TSFX notes which didn't seem to include anything I didn't really know for Methods. I guess it might be helpful for Chem, they tend to sneak stuff in on the exam

Yeah thats what i like tsfx chem. They tell you things beyond the course so that you'll be ready for anything

Yeah cos in class, we get taught straight from the textbook, there really isnt anything challenging and it's not that hard to learn by yourself since it's all in there anyway.

Tsfx, for me anyway, gives me info i wouldnt have learnt and actually challenges you as opposed to just answering questions out of the textbook where the answer is given to you and makes me sound much smarter in class xD

0.o Textbook questions can be hard, especially the ones that tell you to do research >.<

I'm going to TSFX for physics and chem, I reckon they might help.

I got the books, for the mid-year exam TSFX and NEAP (Both for 2008 - 2009).
As well, the summer school for TSFX For 2009.

All the TSFX and neap ones are exactly the same,,,just a reprint of the same stuff!
If you have any of the mentioned above, I'd recommend not going. Because, its exactly the same
stuff, word to word.

The Neap content, is different to TSFX..but If you have have the TSFX books, from anytime previously..dont go!
ALSO...Just a word of mention, I also have a set of the TSFX Master Classes Books (I dont go there)..but again,
whatever is in there, is identically word to word, to the mid-year lecture books.

I think so too and I want to try that out .. to see how 'professional' they are. Seems like everyone prefers TSFX, well more like none goes to NEAP, ah wells.

They have to. Its nearly impossible to cover whole detailed unit 3 in 3hrs (for neap)

No i meant like, they just go over everything in the course again. Not exactly exam prep.

Yep. Well it IS called revision xD I think the preparation could only be done on our own tbh

Yeah but it should be more like exam preparation, like teaching us things to look out for or whatever.

Revision is basically looking back over stuff we've already done, so yeah that can just be done on our own.
