why the hell is it so difficult to get such a good study score.

Because 40+ is top 8% of the state, and 45+ is top 2%? Whilst A+ is merely top 10% in general.
2009
~ Methods (Non-CAS) [48 --> 49.4]

2010
~ Spesh [50 --> 51.6]
~ Physics [50 --> 50]
~ Chem [43 --> 46.5]
~ English [46 --> 46.2]
~ UMEP Maths [5.0]

2010 ATAR: 99.90
Aggregate 206.8

I'm seriously pissed off about this. How can you achieve 35+ without any A's then...

But a SS is the top 26%. So shouldn't three B+'s get you 33-36 at least

I think 38/39 is about the lowest 3 A+'s can get you

I was talking to my physics tutor and she said that generally to get 40+ SS, you need to be getting A+ in the exams. And she said based on the past, not many people have got 40+ SS without an A+ exam mark. So unfair!

I got A+, A+, A+ and got 50, but I know that my SACs were at least very high A+s and I think that's what distinguished the top performers with last year's exams. However, I know someone who scored 100% on exam 1 but a high A on exam 2 and attained 43 or in that vicinity.
