Haha I guess it should be okay. I'm taking 5 3/4s in Year 12. :/
I wanted to do chinese this year but my school won't allow. =='
I originally wanted to do 6 VCE subjects, then 7, then 9 but now I want to do 8, which means I will have either 5 or 6 subjects in year 12... most likely 5 if I'm actually doing 8, but 3 in year 11. :)

lol ,i think when she puts the "s" after gen maths, azure mean "specialist" maths pathway, not "standard" general maths

I see, thanks. :D I'd prefer GMA though. (Well, it's the norm - again) :)

lol, you're taking GMS? Isn't that leading to further maths? I thought it would be GMA...
My bad, I meant General Maths (Specialist).

Don't your study scores only have a 2 year validation? So by the end of next year, his/her Year 7 Chemistry mark won't count?
Haven't you posted that before? I remember answering something like this, polky did VCE over 3 years and all scores counted.
After how many years do study scores become invalid then?

How many subjects do I have to study each year?

The VCAA does not prescribe a minimum number of subjects/units that students have to study each year. You can take as long as you need to complete the VCE.

The two year validation thingy is for your actual ENTER/ATAR score I think.

Yep, get it now :) Where are you gonna do UMEP?
(We might be classmates - if I get in, that is.)
Cool :) I'm probably going to be doing it at my own school, providing that Ms Michell (brilliant teacher!) is still teaching and my timetable fits well. I'll have to ask around as things might change in a few years... where are you thinking of doing it? A lot of the UMEP teachers are really really good.

I'm not sure yet, 'cause all the schools are pretty far. I think on the melb website, it says that my school does offer it too, but I'm not so sure because I haven't heard anything about it...
Yes, your school does have it - Mr Boon Koh teaches it; my cousin completed UMEP maths at MWSC. :)
But a lot of the teachers for UMEP are very good... it'll have to depend on my timetable. You could probably make it to another school if you wanted (they normally start at 4pm) though some are at 3:30ish, when do you normally finish school (if you have your last period of class)?

Alright thanks. Mr Koh is a pretty old teacher from M'sia/Sg'pore. (Heard he was from the former, then moved to the latter)
School usually ends at 3pm. :)
Is Mr Koh good? :D I don't mind taking in my school though, but he doesn't have much recommendations from UMEP students :P (keeping in mind that it takes quite a while to travel from MW to city...)
