It was okay. I think I did better than in the AFC1000 mid-sem.

Two questions though:

what does it mean by 'a shift to the right along the supply curve'? Does this mean a movement along the supply curve or that the supply curve as a whole shifts? I found it ambiguous because other options were 'movement left along the demand curve' and 'the entire supply curve moves to the left'.

Also if a constant slope PPF passes through a point (40, 60) does this mean the opportunity cost of producing one more unit on the x-axis is 2/3rds of the y-axis good or 1 or the y-axis good?

What question was that for again? 10 rice rings a bell but I can't exactly recall what question it was for.

yeah that question reallllly confused me, using the word "shift" and "along the supply curve" in the same sentence T_T dodgy.

A shift ALONG the curve refers to an expansion or contraction along the PRE EXISTING curve.

A shift OF the curve refers to the instance when the curve shifts inwards or outwards due to a change in demand/supply conditions.

This post explains it in more detail: http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,23120.msg235099.html#msg235099.

Congrats~!!

I got 39/40 when I did micro a couple years ago... I only remember because I was equal highest, and I got a letter from the ECC department at the end of semester encouraging me to major in economics.

On a much more bitter note, I epic-failed my Jap midsem today... I'm so angry about it... sensei didn't tell us when reading time finished and writing time started, so I was sitting there waiting until 20mins into the exam before I realised everyone around me was writing. I lost at least 14 marks because I ran out of time, and probably more from stupid mistakes because I rushed.

I didn't want to make a "JPL2030 mid sem exam" thread to complain, since I'm the only idiot doing it -.-"
