Question driving me nuts

For 21b I did 100+32*52*2=3428
I=3428-1095=2333

r=100I/Pt
 =(100x2333)/(100x2)

Is my P wrong?

Why is the principal 1095-100?
because $100 was for the desposit therefore no interest was charged on that value

just a guess....

nope they minus (1095-100) from the value found  (3428) so that you get the number that just involves money spent due to interest... do i make sense lol ?

Well because you are only paying interest on the amount outstanding. If you have payed a $100 deposit, that means that you are not paying interest on this amount. Therefore P = 1095 - 100.

But he is paying $32 per week, he is not paying $1095 outright?
