Which calendar is which, and is there one that's better used for the exam?

the gregorian calender replaced the julian calender. So 13 days behind, my teacher told me to use the gregorian calender.(updated)

I dont think it really matters much on the exam. Just use the one though (i cant remember exactly) that allows for the October revolution to occur in october, because i think on one of the calenders it occurs in november or something.
