Help/.. !!!!KARMA!!!~~

My friend has a sac tomorrow and he wants to clarify few things
 "
Using a typical negative feedback diagram, show what actions are taken to monitor a rise in blood sugar level
or a fall in blood sugar level
Both diagrams need to include the following: the stimulus, the receptors, the effectors the responses"
A diagram and an explanation on the stimulus, the receptors, the effectors would also be nice
THANKS~~~

When its low, its slightly different.

Alpha cells release glucagon which increases blood glucose. (By converting stored glycogen into glucose .)

I would say differently....

Stimulus: High Blood sugar
Receptor: Pancreas
EFFECTOR: LIVER CELLS AND SKELETAL MUSCLE CELLS
Response: Lower blood sugar..

Receptor has to be more specific than 'pancreas' by the way, you should say 'cells in the pancreas'.
Your problem that you have identified is due to this not being a negative feedback diagram.
It's not the correct format so it's not obvious what the effector should be :)
No offense to your diagram!

But yeah, if you would like me to I can possibly go to the trouble to make one that I would have done in response to the question.

In drawing a stimulus response model, does there always have to be the 'control centre' box? Or can the model be drawn correctly without it?

Sorry for digging up the thread
