Eh no. We hope it to be much harder. This will make the 'chromatography process' of VCE better for the people who know a hydrogen from a deuterium.  :smitten:

Has anyone done the Chemology 2008 exam?

I don't agree with one of the multiple choice questions..

Which compound is a member of the same homologous series as
1 -chloropropane?

A. 1-chloropropene
B. 1-chlorobutane
C. 1-bromopropane
D. 1,1-dichloropropane

AFAIK, the same homologous series means having the same general formula. Therefore it could be B/C/D.
Though, the answer is D which defies my logic. Any thoughts?

Hmm, I thought it would be B, as molecules in a homologous series have the same functional groups but their successive members differ by CH2.
