Organic, Inorganic analysis

In insight 2007, they said organic is best for chromatography and inorganic is for spectroscopy. Is this for qualitative or quantitative analysis? Also, is this an over simplification?

Spectroscopy like AAS involves flame, so if you shove a glucose molecule into AAS it will just burn. I think qualitative and quantitative are not correlated with organic and inorganic.

But say you want quantitative with sample of iron, you won't use chromatorgraphy at all?

Yes it's an oversimplification.

NMR, IR and UV-vis are suited for organic molecules.

Kyzoo, can you say inorganic can only be used in spectroscopy? Can't think of some inorganic that can be used in chromatography

What about the separation of pen ink using paper chromatography?

Many inorganic complexes can be analysed in UV-vis and IR, but metallic coordination is not covered in VCE. An example is a blue copper solution, these are in fact hexahydrocopper(II) ions [Cu(OH2)6]2+

In general, do classify an analysis is organic or inorganic.
