I am tempted to say amine, but amine is and this is not present in thymine. Or can we say that a secondary amine exists in the form of so then amine is the group present in all?

This is from NEAP 2008 btw, which I found quite easy. How did you guys feel on this exam (if you've done it?)
2009: Math methods: 50, Psychology: 44
2010: chem 47, further 48, Spesh 49 fml seriously and other yr 11 subs.
2011: Holidaying, screw school.
No. Not azn.

this is the only recent full exam i've done :o it was pretty easy except i made stupid mistakes.

yeah amine group is common to all, if NH2 attached to a single carbon it is a primary amine, if NH bonded to two carbons it is secondary and if N bonded to three carbons it's tertiary.

Yeah there is one really interesting question about a random molecule to work out that i didn't get. Apart from that, it was staple neap: an actual company representative of VCAA.

I would be interested as well to see how you went as I'd like to compare my performance!

I found Neap 2008 and 2009 to be pretty easy, but still had to think a bit more than in other exams. Got 93% on the 2008 and 97% on the 2009. Haven't done the 2010 yet.

How'd you go?

How did people find VCAA 2009 out of interest?  I made some very dumb mistakes, but time wasn't a problem like everyone was making out. I made the A+ cut-off, but still lots of room for improvement.  There was nothing difficult on it...

I personally loved last years exam.  I hope we get something similar this year. :)

LOL!
Not quite what Ive heard about. Ive got it printed, and all. WIll probably sit it this weekend. Then I will let you know my score :P

However, I must admit. By doing X amount of exams, you really do pick up the questions that are 'frequently' enough, asked.

@Martoman 93% here :P

I got higher, but had to take off all my half marks I gave myself, whilst marking :P

Nice!  I reckon that would have kept you on 50 pace last year, considering A+ was 78% and above. :D

If 09's exam is considered challenging then we most definitely will do well on the mid-years.
