What techniques do you guys apply, in order to save time, or gain extra time for the end of the exam. (Besides, rushing - because that can create tiny mistakes).

do the questions first that you are confident with and thus have more time for the harder questions and possibly some time to revise over. thats what Neville Box said at one of the lectures
2010: Accounting 3/4, Methods CAS, GMA, Physics, Legal, Economics, English
2011: Methods CAS, Physics, Legal, Economics, English

Best advice I can give is to make sure you keep yourself in good physical form. Stay well, sleep early so you're attentive, make sure you take care of your health so you don't end up coughing all over the place four days before the exam like me.

Accounting is a relatively easy subject but it also requires solid sessions of concentration, particularly if the paper is a more difficult one, so you can quickly draw on and apply various concepts to the question at hand. Get plenty of practice (ideally enough to make it second nature, although it may be too late for that, depending) and KNOW YOUR THEORY. Don't just rote-learn it; make sure you understand what it means, how it works and what it's used for. Basically, if you understand the fundamentals and have a good practical foundation, you can answer just about any question they'll throw at you.

It's not complicated stuff, just do it right.

Exactly, I agree.
My theory..I can say thus far has been spot on !
Which helps me answer most theory question in half the time. Eg. If total marks for theory on an exam
is 30, Ill get it done in ~15 - 17 minutes.

It really does help, nailing the theory aspects.

Yeah I've found that if you do all theory first, this allows more time for the mathematical aspect of the exam, plus you'll find that your writing is much quicker at the beginning, so get it out of the way and whilst your doing the recording aspect your hand will rest a bit.. It is a good strategy for me, saves around 25 minutes overall, which is really good! not sure about you guys though
