Three important questions:
1. What did everybody get for the retracting of the crab's eye question?
2. How about the question on those random radioactive particles entering the cell?
3. I really wasn't sure to say about what a ribosome was made of. I think I said protein and something else but I can't even remember what the options were.

1. I put the option A, was like, the eye would retract when the hair was touched or something like that
2. Mitochondria and golgi apparatus? :S
3. Where was this question O_O

Is it mitcochondria, or mitochondrion D= LOLOL

this bio exam is a killer, i left out the question about Cell X, Y, Z .. I just wrote Z was better. and skipped the question after that thinking i'd have time to go over it. I was wrong. I was rushed LOL

chill guys. knowing biol the cutoff will be like 75%

last year i got a 44 with like  losing about 15-20 marks across the two exams and they were average biol exams (cutoff around 60/75 IIRC?)
so if this year is harder dont worry too much. Biol is really forgiving

yay that motivates me quite a bit to get a good mark in bio now

akira88: yeh oops typed too quick
I really can't recall it saying the mice gained weight :O
Guess I got too excited writing the experiment up.

It was the third B cell right? The one that produces the most plasma cells, hence most antibodies?

More antibodies = kills influenza virus faster
So yeah I chose the third B cell that produced 95% of Plasma cells, 5% memory cell kinda sucks though.

singular is mitochonrion :) I was so confused on that testosterone question it made sense until I got to that question which suggested an inhibitor... then began to think I did the previous questions wrong

You probably will get 2 out of three marks
the three marks consist of
- hypothesis
- results
-experiment itself if it had a control... usually two groups though.  I only used two groups one hard one soft

FML, I had that book and didn't do it! I can't even remember what I put as the answer, but A rings a bell which is good.

I chose A too :)

Oh, and did anyone try to fingernail it? I think VCAA use fingernail proof paper or something; one second my mark was there, the next it was gone :(

Comparative experiments do not require controls.
