If you're sick or something what happens (in regards to mid-year)

You can apply for special consideration.  By using your SAC rankings and your GAT scores, VCAA claims that they can pretty accurately determine your grade for the exam, so you'll get that.

You can however, if you wish, sit the exam and then apply for special consideration.  What happens then is that the highest mark of the two will be used.

I guess you could be getting a life saving operation on the day. Something that just can't be rescheduled.

Lol exactly what I was thinking. If you have bad circumstances around midyear exam time, wouldn't you also have bad circumstances during the GAT as well? So that means you can't get a properly derived score, unless you get that special consideration thing. Probably hard to get the special consideration thing I'm guessing...
Some guy at my school sat the biology exam at a different time and he got to do it on a computer O.O
