Anyone doing German in 2010?

The German thread doesn't really seem to have gotten anywhere so far - so I was just wondering if there is anyone on here doing Deutsch this year?
Just back from spending the year at Oxford. Now onto final year Monash MBBS.

2009: Biology [50], Maths Methods (CAS) [45]
2010: English [50], German [50], Chemistry [50] Monash Uni Chem [5.5]
ATAR: 99.95.

There's never any German people around :( I did it for VCE and I'm doing it at uni now so if you have any questions I'm happy to answer them :)

Haha nah I don't take German :P it scales pretty good too right? (Like chinese heh)

Yeah I'm doing German this year! I quite enjoy it and it's one of my top subjects. I plan to study it at uni as well. What are you doing for your detalied study scocliffe09?
2009 - Psychology (44)
2010 - English (45), German (42), Revolutions (37), Geography (42), Legal Studies (38)
ATAR - 98.55
2011 - (Probably) Arts at Melbourne Uni

Ausländer in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. It's quite interesting I guess... you?

What exactly do you study in that topic? It seems so broad...

Well, although it's not stipulated, we focus on the last 60 years.
Then we look at the major waves of Ausländer since the 1950s when the Gastarbeiter came, many from Turkey.
We looked at the effect of Wiedervereinigung on the presence and flow of Ausländer and then we looked at the modern day and asylum seekers - why they come and what they contribute nowadays to the German society. Also looking at the German reaction and response to Ausländer and how it has changed over the years.

Sorry, missed this!! Haven't been on here for ages!

Unser Thema was auch Auslaender in Deutschland, aber insbesondere Auslaender Tuerkische Herkunft! Ich hoffe, das deine muendliche Pruefung dir gut gefallen hat :)
