Does spesh help methods really?

Does spesh actually help methods in terms of the work you do on differentiation and integration beyond methods? (Assuming spesh goes beyond methods?)

Is it just the fact that you do the same work but earlier so methods is like a repeat? Or the advanced learning helps the work that is less in depth in methods?

yeah it helps for sure, does some advanced stuff but still doesn't explore the basics - no vce maths explores the fundamental concepts.

or if you do methods the year before spesh, it makes spesh a shit load easier

Does it help because you simply learn the stuff in spesh first and then relearn in methods like revision?

methods forms the foundations for the more advanced material in spesh, not all just some.

From what I've done in Calculus 1 (a condensed version of Spec), it seems that prior knowledge of Methods, especially thorough knowledge, really helps with the subject. I found it quite okay but I didn't do all that stuff on Mechanics, Kinematics and Dynamics - that's not in Calculus 1.

I got an alright score for methods coz I picked up spesh in yr 12...my average methods score in year 11 was......40-50% and that was before I picked up spesh

All the stuff that overlaps from spesh to methods (circular functions, calculus) we did in spesh before methods, it definitely helped a lot with methods, although I'd have preferred if we did it the other way around
