I hypothesize that there is a correlation between the degree to which people "like" or "enjoy" a subject, and the person's relative performance in that subject.

I agree, and have thought about this many times...
I think it happened to me with history in year 9. On reflection now I understand I really didn't like the subject, but a month after it I was telling everyone to choose that class and how much I liked that class, only because I got an A+ on the exam.

1) ESL - most relaxing class ever!
2) Accounting - the stuff is pretty easy compared to uni accounting
3) Economics - learning interesting stuff but teacher a bit boring =(
4) Chinese - everyone seemed so good in my class =.=
5) Uni Accounting - its an alright subject but i get really confused
6) Methods - not THAT bad but i make so much careless mistakes and forget how to do stuff
7) Legal Studies - omg i hated it so bad!!

Duh. Also might have something to do with a person being a humanities or a maths/science person. Some people just don't get one subject as well.

It seems lots of my friends are going down the full-on english path. Some are even going for the 3 english courses in 1/2... bat-crazy
he he, I did 3 Englishes over the 2 years of VCE. It was fun.

My subjects this year are Lit 1/2, Eng 1/2, Philisophy 1/2, Media 1/2, Classics 1/2 and History Renaissance 3/4

Next year all my subjects are English based (Lit/Eng/Philo/Media/Classics) ..... writing essays

And on top of all those im going do University Extention English Literature (thanks to the help from Eriny :))

Not if your good at it... its very very very similar to English.
