I actually want to cry and kill myself simultaneously.
What the fuck kind of timetable system are we meant to be using here?
I have fiddled with this piece of crap for at least half an hour every day for the past week and I still don't understand how, when it opens tomorrow, someone is supposed to move out of one subject and in to another.
I have watched their silly videos, and they give zero indication of how to access the pages that they are showing you how to use.

When the piece of crap opens up tomorrow, I am going to have no idea what I am doing and have my whole timetable fucked over because Psychology is the most popular subject on earth, and I can't move into tutorials late in the evening because of how far away I live from campus.  I would literally get home at 1am.

Tell your own inhibited online enrollment, inhibited enrollment anywhere, 'I'm sorry I went to Melbourne Uni because their ability to provide a functional IT system is severely lacking' stories.

I haven't actually had many problems with the timetable system, i like the click to generate function (granted this is because i have minimal choice in subject class times). The new study plan thing is a joke though, not sure HOW they managed to find something more irritating than alloc8.

e, if you have serious concerns about your ability to attend late tutes (it really takes you 4 hours to get home from an 8pm class?) call your student center tomorrow morning and say that the system isn't working for you, can you make an appointment to do it manually. You'll have to wait for someone to pick up because they'll get swamped, but they're perfectly willing to move you around if you have problems with certain times.

3 hours*
Psych tutes are 2 hours so they finish at 10.
And yeah it does.
Trains on my line run like every half hour after that, take an hour, I have to walk home because there isn't a bus at that hour.
Funtimes.

So wait, your study plan is working?
Mine isn't.
Is it because I do media com and have cores?

They haven't created my study plan, so I can't change 2 of my subjects which means I can't enrol in those classes yet. Also waiting on a quota restricted subject and not sure why a Sem 1 subject has been completely wiped off my enrollment record :(

This study plan bullshit is really stupid for several reasons.
Namely, the university fucking over people's lives just because their student numbers are like, further down on a list.
I am so cut about this system.

This stupid study plan is really hindering.

Quote
Dear Robert,

Unfortunately you will not be able to make any changes to your enrolment as yet
(including breadth). The re-enrolment period for Semester 2 usually begins 2-3 weeks
prior to the start of Semester 2 - As such, I have given you a date of 12 July.

They say I can change my subjects in two weeks. Timetables open up tomorrow. Hooray! What's great is that not only won't I be allowed to switch my breadth, they also randomly removed one of my subjects in the past week, so I'll only be able to effectively register for two subjects that I'm actually doing next sem. I finally learnt how to work alloc8 this sem, too. :(

So what, if you study plan isn't enabled, then you can't make changes to enrollment?
That is so ridiculous.
That is actually the most annoying thing I have heard.

Other downsides - to go on a wait list, you have to withdraw from any classes you're already registered in.
What the fuck?

My guess is going to be yes.
Everything is always available before the time.
Even VCE results.

Do you get to choose what tutorials and lectures you get put in provided that the classes are not full?

Don't bother the videos are so confusing.
They're like
GO TO YOUR STUDY PLAN.
HOW?  fjkkskssjd.

Yes you do get to choose.
However, if you want to choose a class you're not enrolled in, you have to wait until everything is overfull and full and then you just can't do it anymore.
Good system.
