i've spoke to someone who did it by distance a couple of years back and they got mid-high 40's (didn't say specifically), and others have done the same, it's very possible to do well. you can work at your own pace and work when you feel like it, there are no distractions from people in the class (social aspects of course suck) but you can choose when to work, and it is definitely a very efficient way of doing a subject (im annoyed i didnt do it via distance) if you are motivated enough.

if you are thinking of doing it, then go for it, it's very possible and a very good idea if you want it to be.
