Trig Functions Equating to 1?

In some trig questions like finding max height in an equation such as Why do they equate ?

whats the max value sin(whatever) can take?

Oh lol never thought of that...hmm..thats interesting because I always thought these trig max and min values requires derivatives or graphics calculator. Anyhow, thanks for that

Max value of sin(3pit) is 1 so the max value of h is going to be when sin(3pit) is 1.
