Hi There,

Find the derivative of f(x)=xe^(-x) and hence find the integral of xe^(-x).

Thanks

although its not part of the question, i suggest you have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integration_by_parts - very easy to understand and easily approachable by methods students who understand the product rule, this can enhance your understanding of why "antidiff by recognition" works, rather than mindlessly applying it.

Check here. There's a bit of a learning curve to it though, but it's worth learning if you're expecting to post lots of questions on the maths board.

It doesn't actually take too long :)
I learnt the basics over a week or so, and have been refining it ever since :)

for both, seriously, latex is a great skill to have, it is the standard program to type up science documents and also in uni the very first project we had, we had to type up our work, for those that already knew how to use latex, it was a breeze.

personally, ive typed up every single uni maths assignment with latex (using texnic centre), looks pr0 and easy to use.

Every assignment I had handed in this year was "Nice use of LaTeX". Not even kidding.
Texnic Centre is the bomb. It's so pro for writing up lab reports or technincal rubbish because its so flexible(like your mum)
