When do they send us Mid year exam results?

and the teachers get a list of the marks of every kid in their class?

Yeah its a separate envelope, that says your grade.

I just got a piece of plain paper with my mark (way less interesting than the sheet we get at the end of the year) in an envelope that wasn't closed. So it's really not confidential. At all.

For those who are interested, it's just a piece of white A4 paper in an envelope which has your name, student number etc, all the VCE subjects that you are enrolled in or have completed, the graded results and the study score (if you've completed the subject).

what exactly does this mean?

Pretty much that.  When it comes to the venue to inspecting your script, you have two choices: at your school or you can travel to VCAA and inspect it there.

you just see your entire paper and can go through it, you also get a assessor's report to know why what you said was wrong.
get a statement of marks first i reckon..

Do teachers find out our results before they are given to us (like a day or two)? Because I'm pretty sure last year, at my school, they knew who got what score before the students.

I don't know about mid-years, but the final results the school gets the day before the students.
