I've got a question.

Arg(z)= /4 and Arg(z-3)= /2. Find Arg(z-6i)

I'm a little confused.

Thanks.

just that chid wanted a bit more "coverage" and I happened to look at it at the right time xD

Thanks Mao.

And yeah it was supposed to be pi as opposed to n.

How do you use all the mathematical symbols?

LaTeX:
http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,864.0.html

a good guide to specific symbols:

(formats like integrals, radicals and matrices are found under "command" link on the same page)

Arg(z-3)=pi/2, .: z-3=0+ai, .: z=3+ai.
Arg(z)=pi/4, .: z=b+bi.
.: b=a=3 and z=3+3i.
.: z-6i=3-3i, Arg(z-6i)=artan(-3/3)=-pi/4

LOL.

The numbers are the same, only in different positions. (well, nearly the same)

:27 minutes --> :27 secs
:58 secs --> :57 minutes.
