any chance of getting a 40+ with an A in mid year in accounting? I doubt it

You still have a fighting chance, my teacher said last yea one of the students got a B+ in exam 1, then she worked harder progressively through the year and got a pretty good A+ for end of year with High A Sacs and got 41

Really? a B+ A and A+ achieved a 41? that doesn't look right but should give lots of people hope and motivation.

No it's definitely possible.
A high B+ and high A+ with a good SAC ranking - 41 is definitely possible

That still sounds unbelievable.

GA1= High B+
GA2= High A
GA3= High A+

equals 41? @_@
It's all over now..

Feeeeling reallly disappointed... cant believe that the A+ cut off for biol was only a 59... i thought i would end up with 60, and i was marking myself very harshly :(
I think the examiners were very picky this year or i just got a ***** one...
Anyways i ended up with a B+ pretty sure a mark or so off an A.
Im ranked at least in the top 8 of the cohort, and it is a very big one as well. With a mid-high A+ for Unit 4 exam what sort of study score could i get??
I think i can still pick up a 40, because my bio teacher said that when she did bio she got GA1:B+ GA2:A+ GA3:A+ = 43 (raw) :)
So yeah what could i expect to get, note i am extremely determined to get a mid-high A+ as i need a 40SS in order to do 4 subjects next year.

Does it scale up or down? I got mid forties with an A on the chem midyear after scaling (but my end of year exam mark was very high)
What do you by scaling?
I thought exams marks do not get moderated.

He's speaking of study scores.

You know I did think the teacher was lying, but just to motivate me (because I got a B+ and Medium A+ for sacs [95% is medium right?]) because I checked the stats and no1 in my school got a 41 in Accounting Q_Q. Neway I believe a high B+ in exam 1, medium A+ in SACs (190/200 GA2) and a very high exam score (87-90/90) will definitely be 40 or 41

lol, a good hearted lie.

Don't worry much about the SAC marks, it's all about ranking. As long as you're doing better than others in your school, you're fine.

3 classes of about 25, so 75 people.
No they are definitely not strong, from what I know there was like 1 A+, 3-5 A's, 10 B+, 10 B, 20-30 C+ and the rest C-E (yea that's right E WTF.)

I guess after re-reading what I just wrote, I'm ranked more like 6 or 7 now but SAC wise rank 4 or 5

Well you're in a better situation than me.

One class with 24 people, and i'm currently ranked like 12 LOL. I stuffed up 1 SAC and dragged me far behind, but i'm only like 6 marks behind the ranked 6th and teacher said 12 people got A's or A+'s. 3 more SACs to come..

AWWWW SACs are screwing me up.
It's all over now..

Well at my school every gets A+ on SACs cause theyre too fucking easy. I can get 95% and be around the 70th percentile! Its so fucked. I think im in the top 15 or so for SACs marks but only about 10 people got A+s. I could have the best mid-year exam result and the bets end of year but because of crap SACs I might end up with an A for my SAC GA.

I hope to god theres some individual moderation rather than just going on cohort rankings.

Yeahhh same.
At my school, accounting SACs are not testing the students' acocunting ability, but it's rather testing the students' reading ability and ability to avoid silly mistakes. I got better exam result than a lot of people ahead of my rank.

AWWW i wish the teacher can make the SACs harder.
It's all over now..

LOL. my school SACs are the opposite... HARD. No one... if not rarely, gets 100% on any of the SACs. I had a computer-based Accounting SAC today... making adjustments on Microsoft Excel... the adjustments were hard as... I hoping my SAC marks are bumpered up as well! :)

Damn, i like your school. :P

There's always atleast one person getting 100% on each SAC.

Btw, my computer SAC is going to be budgeting..... just doing budgeted reports on excel.
It's all over now..

Last year i got what i presume to be mid-high A for mid year, low-mid A+ for sacs, and mid-high A+ for end of year.

Which got me a 40.
