Hey guys...

I would be completing business and p.e and doing extremely well in both of the 1/2's...
Workload to mch?
I think it's worth it so in yr 12 only 4 subjects lots of spares and I can still keep up my swimming which is like my getaway....
Thanks for any help just want as mucch advice as possible...
Cheers :)

I did 2 subjects in year 11. Was worth it as you get more experience with year 12 subjects and in year 12 if you only do 4, you get a lot more time to spend on other subjects, take it you'll actually use the time effectively unlike most year 12s

Definitely possible, plenty of people have done it.

Pros
- Experience in doing 3/4 subjects
- Takes pressure off year 12
- More time to focus on doing well since you only have 2 to worry about
- If you do 5 subjects in year 12, that gives you leeway to stuff up one subject which won't count towards your ATAR

Cons
- You get to do the GAT twice
- Many people have said that having lots of spares isn't a good thing since they often just procrastinate that time away
- Can be discouraging/demotivating if you happen to do badly
- Could make you over-confident if you do well and therefore don't put as much effort into year 12

yehh well atm im swimming 8 times a week so im using time i have well and school has said to me if i do this they will make sure i am an monitor it and if not will cut some of them out...
the GAT thing eh il put up with that and 5 subjects is also possible in yr 12 if i do do badly in one of them next year...

I did business and found it a ridiculously easy subject, you pretty much just memorise stuff and regurgitate in the exam...

So you're doing 5 3/4s in year 11? Does that mean you're still going to be in year 12 next year or go straight to uni? Im confused.

And yes i Ben i think you should do 2 3/4s. My school only let me do one which sucked.

Doing a 3/4 in year 11 also gives you that experience. I did really mediocre in my 3/4 last year and it's made me realise what it actually requires to do well in a subject. So even if you don't do that well you will learn from it. Almost all my friends didn't do a 3/4 last year and don't really know what is required to do well and were distraught by their midyear results, they thought studying full on for one week before the exam would get them an A to A+.

no it means im finishing this year . my main point was . im doing 5 .. and its not that hard to keep the workload .. does get very stressing, but u can do it ..

p.s . reply to ben
umm im not finding chem too hard ..  wasnt feeling to well on the exam ( had tonsillitis ).. but put excuses aside .. i still did very bad and only got a B ... but sac scores have been 95% +

all in all . ... chem is easy if u do the work required
:) ull do fine

go for it man..... Its a great advantage to getting ahead!
I done Methods and physics in year 11....although it was kind of stressful at times it paid off in the end, so you have nothing to worry about!

Good luck! :)
