unit 4... what unit 4?

Is anyone else finding this unit laughable? Chapter 15 and 16 and (17 to an extent  ::)) are newish. 25 is rebranded chptr 15. 18 is obviously...waste :P. Of the 4 chapters on production we do 1. 23,24 are like 18, filler. That leaves 26,27,28 to round out the course. That means that we have a grand total of 6 chapters that just shouldn't be there  :P

As maccas put it, I'm loving it. What about you guys?

i mean
energry .. = learn a few equations
rate/eqm = simple crap
galvanic cells = as long as u dont get confused between oxidant/reductant

and the only thing that anoys me .. is the crappy coal and nuclear energy crap lol

We've already finished the course in class. That's how thin this unit is in content. Last unit we only finished ~3 weeks before the exam..

We haven't completed any of the three SACs yet, but we have finished the course. I go to a private school, but not a "hardcore" one in terms of studying(never been a 40+ in chem before, for example). There are only 6 of us in the class, and the teacher is alright.

Thats ridiculous to finish the course in class... What school do you go to?

THere is some complexity in some questions to do with pH and ionisation, again theres alot of tricky stuff that they can put in like in the unit 3 exam.

My class is on chapter 26, yes, even though galvanic is a bit confusing, its actually quite easy when you know what the hell is going on. AoS3 was a cake walk, AoS 4 so far is memory work with the fossil fuels, but is that even relevant much?

Unit 4's more conceptual, so there's a potential for them to ask hard questions (then again, VCAA doesn't always do this). I wouldn't say what unit 4 - I mean, there's not much to learn, but by covering fields such as equilibrium they could hypothetically ask us some hard problem solving style questions. Unit 3 wasn't conceptual at all - seriously, it was all rote learning, and memorising it all was the hard part.
